Equipment Selection:   RVA Series Agricultural Infra-red Heaters - typically, 40 ft. in length and 75,000 to 100,000 BTU – two-stage operation.  Interlock heaters with barn controller and adjust settings as determined by the ventilation specialist. Consult a professional’s advice during design and equipment selection.

Installation:  In wean to finish applications, heaters are normally placed down the center aisle and mandatory combustion air is taken from the outside sidewall. In nursery applications, heaters are placed to best provide heat coverage to approx. ½ the pen.  In both applications, it is common to offset heaters to either side and then rotate the reflectors as needed for heat coverage. Heaters are not used in gestation barns and are normally left unvented, provided that minimum ventilation is available.
